Teaching cataloguing ethics: an exploration of an ethics-infused knowledge organization curriculum

This article contemplates how cataloguing ethics might be taught within knowledge organization (KO). exploration of education considers the teaching an example Library and Information Studies programme. The first part focuses on fits into structure KO teaching, including questions about whether it is a standalone topic or integral whole curriculum. second outlines three activities with contents. Six pedagogical points are elicited, ideas around power held by cataloguer, relationship to wider library ecosystem beyond, competing needs user/librarian/knowledge creator.
